Abinash Luitel’s five-for gives Lord Buddha a positive start

Kathmandu- Defending just 150 runs in 40 overs, Abinash Luitel from Lord Buddha Cricket Club bagged five wickets including a hattrick to restrict SMC Baneshwor for only 53/10 to give his team a positive start in the Kathmandu Cricket League 2015 at Tundikhel Ground, Kathmandu.

Lord Buddha made 149/9 in 40 overs and packed SMC for just 53 runs in 18.3 overs to win the match by 96 runs. Avinash who bowled four overs conceded just 9 runs picking five wickets. The first four overs went really well for SMC but once the first wicket fell, other batsman surrendered quickly. Binod Thapaliya and Tridev shared 32 runs for the first wicket.

SMC lost remaining 9 wickets for only 21 runs. Manish Shrivastav and Krishna Gajurel grabbed 3 and 2 wickets respectively for Lord Buddha.

Earlier, Skipper Prasoon Thapa’s 29 runs off 29 balls and Sanjeev Khanal’s 30 runs helped Lord Buddha post 149/9 in 40 overs. Sushil Acharya took 3 wickets for SMC while Krishna Singh Negi and Anil Bartala bagged 2 wickets each.

Balautar Cricket Club takes New Vision Club tomorrow at Tundikhel Ground. The match starts at 9:00 AM.
