All-round Ashish Dhami takes KCTC to semis

Kathmandu- Aashish Dhami showed an all-round performance that helped Kathmandu Cricket Training Center (KCTC) defeat host Great Himalya Cricket Academy by six wickets to enter the semi-final of Kathmandu Cricket League 2015 at Tundikhel Ground, on Tuesday.

Aashish bagged four wickets to restrict host GHCA, comprising of national team member Sharad Veswakar for 106/10 and then returned with the bat making 30 runs opening the innings with Mahesh Chettri for KCTC. Mahesh and Aashish shared 60 runs for the first wicket which was the foundation for their six wicket win.

Earlier, Ashsih and Shyam Tripathi did the trick for KCTC with the ball sharing seven wickets between them to keep GHCA for a partly total. Shyam picked three important wickets including that of Sharad and Skipper Prakash Bista. Pradeep Tandan was the top scorer for GHCA with 30 runs to his name.

Meanwhile, KCTC, Lord Buddha Cricket Club, Dhangahdi United, and Baluwatar Cricket Club reached the semi-finals of Kathmandu Cricket League 2015. KCTC plays Baluwatar Cricket Club in the first semi-final on Wednesday while Dhangahdi United faces Lord Buddha Cricket Club on Friday.
