APF beat Baitadi by 243 runs

Kathmandu- In the final league game of senior national cricket tournament APF defeated R-6 (Baitadi) by 243 runs thanks to fifties from Prithu Baskota, Pradeep Airee and Diipendra Chaudhar at Engineering Ground, Pulchowk, on Saturday.

APF won the toss and batted first. Riding on Pradeep Airee’s 79 runs off 68 balls, Dipendra Chaudhary’s 69 off 51 balls and Prithu Baskota’s 53 off 70 balls APF posted a huge total of 310/10 before being all out in 49.1 overs. Prithu and Dipendra shared 119 runs partnership for the 5th wicket.

Yogendra Karki once again showed an impressive performance picking four wickets while Kamal Airee bagged three wicket for Baitadi.

Baitadi were bundled out for a mere 67 runs in just 18.4 overs. Yagyaman Kumal was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his name. Four Baitadi batsman made ducks while Skipper Santosh Bhatta 18 was the only batsman with double digit score. Man of the match Pradeep Airee also took three wickets while Basanta Regmi grabbed two wickets for APF.

Despite the loss Baitadi made it to the semifinals from group B. Both semifinals will take place on 23rd March, 2015.
