APF continues winning streak, Bhairahawa records first win

Kathmandu- Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) continued its winning streak, thrashing Birgunj completely by eight wickets with 181 balls remaining while Bhairahawa also recorded their first win in the second day of the Women’s National Cricket Tournament 2071.

Batting first, Birgunj only managed a mere 79/7 playing all the 40 overs against a disciplined bowling attack of APF. Nisha Adhakari scored 24 not out off 60 balls for Birgunj while extras stood second most scorer with 13 runs. Bina Budhamagar took 2 wickets for APF.

APF chased the target in just 9.2 overs, riding on 31 not out off 28 balls from Sita Rana Magar and another 31 runs from Jyoti Pandey.

R6 (Baitadi) VS R4 (Bhairahawa)
Saraswoti Pun grabbed four wickets while Indu Verma and Seema Thapa took two wickets each as Bhairahawa restricted Baitadi for 117 runs in the 34 overs. Indu shone with the bat as well scoring 45 not out to guide her team to a seven wickets win in 35.1 overs. Earlier, Anjali Chand’s 35 runs and Kabita Kunwar’s 26 runs helped Baitadi post 117 runs on the board.
