Arjun and Saad Help Singapore Come Level

Singapore defeated Delhi Wanderers today to register their first win the ongoing Sagarmatha Cement Journey to World Cup Tournament. With the win all four teams of the tournament are 2 points each with one win and one loss.

The confusing scorlines that saw Singapore on top had the same names for both teams highest and second highest scorer in the both team. Arjun and Kshitiz were the first and second highest scorers for both the teams.

Winning the toss and batting first Delhi posted 293 runs losing 5 wickets in 45 overs. Singapore chased the target in the third ball of  final over losing 9 wickets. Arjun Murtreja, opening the batting top scored for Singapore with 93 runs from just 76 balls. Arjun’s player of the match performance included 16 fours and 1 six. Kshitiz Shinde and veteran Saad Januja made 40 runs each.  Saad’s 40 came off just 16 balls. Pawan Negi, Satnam Singh and Shivan Maavi al picked up 2 wickets for Delhi.

Earlier batting first Arjun Gupta scored a century for Delhi with 133 runs from 129 balls . Kshitij Sharma made unbeaten 92. Amjad Mahboob picked up 3  wickets for Delhi but went for 67 runs from his  8 overs.
