BPKIHS hand UCMS first defeat

Defending champions Universal College of Medical Sciences faced a thrilling 1 run defeat at hands of B.P Koirala Institue of Health Sciences in Pool B match of 2nnd KIST Cup being played at Army School Cricket Ground, Bhaktapur. Winning the and batting first BPKIHS posted 122 runs before getting all out in 17.1 overs. Ashish Khadka top scored for the side from Dharan with 26 runs from 28 balls.

In reply UCMS fell 1 run short. UCMS skipper Dipesh Jha top scored for UCMS with 27 runs. Chunnu Yadav bagged 3 wickets for BPKIHS.

UCMS bowler Sumish G.C who bagged 5 wickets from his four overs giving away just 19 runs was declared the player of the match.

In the other match played today Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences faced their second loss in a row, losing to Institute of Medicine by 5 wickets. Winning the toss and batting first in a match reduced to 17 overs KUSMS posted 116 runs. Subhash Yadav top scored for KUSMS with 27 runs from 14 balls.

IOM got to the target in 16. 1 overs. Arjun Chaudhary top scored for IOM with 34 runs. Opener Gajendra Chaudhary, who scored 29 from 22 balls from IOM was adjudged the player of the match. Gajendra had also picked up a wicket with the ball.
