Dhangadi Sport Club(DSC) have registered their first win of the second season of Dhangadi Cricket League. DSC defeated Dhangadi City School(DCS) by 60 runs in the match played this Wednesday.
Not often does a bowler take a five wicket and end up in losing side, but despite inspired performance from Dipendra Airee with the ball taking 5 wickets the batsman from City School let the team down. Chasing 130 they were folded for just 69 runs in 16.1 over. Airee was once again on the cards for City School top scoring with 24.
Winning the toss and batting first DSC posted 129 runs before getting knocked over in 30.2 overs. Man of the match Santosh Thapa top scored for DSC with 41 runs while Deepak Roy and Yam Karki contributed with 20 and 16.
Deepak Roy bagged 4 wickets for DSC to give them the win. Padam KC got 2 scalps while Binod Lama bagged 2.
