Kathmandu- Ideal English School and Galaxy Public School recorded comfortable wins in the second day of 8th COAS ruunig cricket torunament 2071.
Ideal English School VS EPS School
Ideal English School completely thrashes EPS school by seven wickets in the first match of the day. EPS were bundled out for a mere 29 runs in 8.2 overs thanks to 3-wickets haul each from Stabya Acharya and Bishank Subedi. Prabin Acharya top scored for EPS with 10 runs from 13 balls. Ideal chased the target in 9.5 overs losing three wickets.
Galaxy Public School VS LRI School
Galaxy, meanwhile, thumped LRI school by 17 runs in the second match of the day. Galaxy were struggling at 7/3 at one stage but captain Bamdev Jagari lifted them up with a fine 21 runs off 17 balls. Mohammad Naushad batting at No.8 played attacking cricket blasting 29 runs off just 19 balls as Galaxy managed 88 runs before being all out in 14.4 overs. Prashdha Shrestha pikced 4 wickets for LRI while Sandip Shrestha grabbed another 2.
Galaxy defended the target thanks to an inspiring bowling from Naushad who finished with figures 4-0-9-3. Dipendra Paswan was the only batsman to score in double digit for LRI scoring 23 run a ball. Rajendra Pal also took 2 wickets for Galaxy. LRI got all out for 71 runs in 18.1 overs.
