ICC approves Nepal as host of ICC U-19 CWC Qualifier 2015

Kathmandu – Nepal has been approved as the host of the ICC U-19 CWC Qualifier 2015, however, this approval is conditional on the ICC being satisfied with the Cricket Association of Nepal’s (CAN) administrative capacity to deliver the event successfully.

The ICC board meeting held at the ICC Headquarters in Dubai on April 16 has decided to give Nepal a chance to host the Qualifier in 2015 reads the press release published by ICC.

Bangladesh will host the 2016 Under-19 World Cup but the host for the qualifying tournament was yet to be decided until the ICC Board meeting.

Nepal (ACC), Uganda (Africa), Papua New Guinea (EAP) are confirmed team but two remaining teams from America and Europe are yet to be decided. The tournament will be played in Round-robin 50 over format. 16 teams will participate in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2016.
