Institute of Medicine(IOM) won third match in a row defeating Nepal Medical College(NMC) by 12 tuns to reach the semi finals of 2nd KIST Cup being played at Army School Cricket Ground, Sallaghari Bhaktapur. In the match reduced to 17 overs batting first riding on Utsav Timilsina 40 runs from 27 balls IOM posted 117 runs. In reply NMC hecould manage only 105 runs in 17 overs. Pravakar Shrestha top scored for NMC with 34 runs from 27 balls. Utsav who also bagged the wicket of top scorer Pravakar was adjudged the player of the match.
In the other match played today Kathmandu Medical College defeated host KIST- Blue by 65 runs. Batting KMC posted 151 runs from allocated 16 overs. Abhiskar Ghimire scored half century for KMC ending 67 not out from 46 balls with 6 sixes. Chandu Goit made 45 from only 19 balls. In reply KIST folded for only 86 runs in 13.2 overs. Bibhed Neupane top scored for KIST with 33 runs from 20 balls. Chandu Goit who also bagged 4 wickets from in 3.3 overs giving only 26 runs.
