KCTC thump Kerala

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre showed no mercy to the visiting team, Kerala Cricket Club as they bagged the fourmatch T-20 series 3-0 on Wednesday. The home team won the third match of the series by six wickets after chasing a target of 73 runs in 16.5 overs with the loss of four wickets. Sudhir Maharjan led the run chase with his 26 runs while Dilsan Khatiwada and Rajan Karki remained 18 and seven not out to guide their team to fifth consecutive victory. As for the Kerala outfit, Jithu PM grabbed two wickets. Earlier, man-of-the-match, Kamal Sapkota had wrecked Kerala Cricket Club’s decision to bat first with is four wickets. Sapkota ended his spell with the figures of six overs, 13 runs and four wickets to bowl the tourists out for 72 runs in 23.2 overs. Likewise, Rajan Karki seized three wickets as apart from Manu Thankachan and Vinod Singh, who contributed 17 runs each, the rest of the batsmen failed to score in double digit.
