Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepali national cricket team captain Paras Khadka and veteran leg spinner Shakti Gauchan have been named the brand ambassadors of Model Global Visas Consultancy during a function organized in capital on Friday.
The function was organized to felicitate national cricketers in the capital. Khadka and Gauchan will now serve as the brand ambassadors for one year as per the contract. However, the deal amount was not made public.
Meanwhile, national cricketers Rahul Vishwakarma, Pradeep Airee and Bhuwan Karki were handed checks worth Rs. 50,000 each for their outstanding performance in the year 2012.
Also, Miss Global International Prayanka Pandey, Photographer Shreedhar Poudel, Managing Director Manoj Pandey, ambassadors Khadka, Gauchan unveiled the calendar featuring national cricketers during the function. The calendar also features wicketkeeper batsman Subash Khakurel, U19 skipper Prithu Baskota and team member Pradeep Airee.
The company also announced that they would keep supporting Nepali Cricket and award the deserving players in the upcoming days. They have announced to award Rs. 50,000 each to batsmen scoring 75 runs or above and bowlers taking at least five wickets in the ACC T20 Cup to be held in Kathmandu in the year 2013.
The company has also announced to award Rs 100,000 to any batsman who scores a century in the World Cricket League Division 3. A bowler taking at least five wickets in the league would receive Rs 100,000.
