Nepal to make ODI debut against Netherlands in August

Nepal will face the Dutch cricket team in their first ever One-day series comprising two ODIs on August 1 and August 3. The two matches will be played at VRA Ground in the Amsterdam.

The historical series against Netherlands was confirmed by the Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB).

The series will start after the completion of Twenty20 Tri-series that includes the same two teams and MCC on July 29.

“It will be our first ODI since we lost that status in 2014, and the first ever for Nepal. These encounters also mean another great opportunity to use young talents in top competitions and I will be able to keep an eye on their development,” Netherlands coach Ryan Campbell said.

ICC Rankings
Both countries have to play four ODI matches to determine their place on the ICC ODI rankings.
