Nepal U19 makes it five out of five

Kathmandu- Nepal U19 made it five wins out of five practice matches by wining the fifth match against LB Shastri Cricket Club by 16 runs at the Bharat Nagar Ground, New Delhi on Friday.

Nepal U19 defended 179 runs after bowlers put in an impressive performance. Dipendra Airee picked three wickets, Aarif Sheikh and Lalit Rajbanshi garbbed two each as Nepal U19 restricted LB Shastri Cricket Club 162/10 in 43.2 overs against Nepal U19’s 178/10 in 49 overs.

Dipendra was exceptional with the bowling taking 3 wickets in just 2.2 overs conceding just 2 runs as Nitin Tiwari’s 73 runs for the home team went in vain.

Earlier, Nepal U19 won the toss and decided to bat first. Aarif Sheikh 37 runs, Dipendra Airee 23 runs, Yogendra Karki 21 runs and Sandeep Sunar 17 runs helped Nepal reach 178 runs in 49 overs before being all out. Vasu picked four wickets for LB Shastri Cricket Club.

Nepal U19 team will return to Kathmandu on October 10. Nepal U19 will participate in the ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers in Malayisa that starts from October 16.
