Sandeep Lamichhane arrives in Hong Kong

Kathmandu – Nepali young leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday to participate in T20 Blitz tournament.

Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA) is organizing the Hong Kong T20 tournament which starts from May 27-29 at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground and includes four franchised team – Rude Bar Island Warriors, Hung Hom JD Jaguars, GII Lantau Galaxy Riders & Kowloon Cantons.

Lamichhane, 16, was thrilled after he received the invitation to play for Kowloon Cantons. He is also excited to play with Former Australian Captain Michael Clarke and share the dressing room.

Lamichhane will also play under Babar Hayat, Tanveer Ahmed, Ehsan Nawaz, Tim Cutler and Ryan Campbell in the team. Scott McKechnie, a british cricketer invited the young Nepalese bowler as he had played earlier during MCC recent visit to Nepal where Sandeep had 7 scalps and impressed all.

Likewise, Lamichhane also grabbed 14 wickets during ICC U19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh that includes a hat-trick against Ireland.
