Melbourne – Young Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is maintaining his good form in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Sandeep, 18, playing his first ever CPL T20 tournament in Caribbean Islands, has produced three wickets in his two appearances so far. He was picked by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots team during the auction for a mere US $5000.
Lamichhane struck with his first ball on debut match against Guyana Amazon Warriors on August 9 and ended up with the figure of 2 for 12 in his four overs (4-0-12-2). He also had 13 dot balls in that spell of bowling, despite being on the losing side.

In his second match, he struck on his first over again against Trinbago Knight Riders on August 11, 2018. Australian Chris Linn was clean bowled after misreading the googly from Lamichhane for 6 runs. He ended up with the figure of 1 for 17 in his 3 overs (3-1-17-1) including a maiden.
Sandeep’s team will play against Jamaica Tallawahs on August 16. They are currently sitting at the fifth position on the league table with one win and a loss.
