Sompal Kami has finished the year 2022 as the second-highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket. Sompal Kami picked up 35 wickets from 20 matches throughout the year 2022.
Sompal was only behind Oman’s left-arm pacer, Bilal Khan, who picked up the highest 43 wickets from 16 matches with an economy of 4.90.
Sompal Kami also completed 50 wickets in ODI recently. Kami bowled 159.5 overs in the year 2022, conceding 797 runs with an economy of 4.98. His bowling average was 22.77, whereas his strike rate was 27.4. His best bowling performance was 4/39 against UAE in march at Dubai Cricket Ground.
UAE’s Basil Hameed, USA’s Saurabh Netravalkar and Namibia’s Bernard Scholtz finished behind Sompal Kami, picking up 32 wickets each.
Meanwhile, Skipper Rohit Paudel ended up as Nepal’s highest run scorer with 642 runs from 21 matches, 14th highest overall.
