Sydney Thunder bowled out for 15 runs – T20’s lowest score

Sydney Thunder has been bowled out for the record-lowest score in T20 cricket in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL), Australia’s major franchise league. Adelaide Strikers bowled out Thunders for 15 runs in just 5.5 overs to register a massive 124 runs victory at Sydney.

Thunder also had the humiliating record of scoring the lowest-ever total in professional men’s T20 cricket history. The prior low was 21, by Turkey against the Czech Republic in August 2019. It is also the lowest total in BBL, surpassing Melbourne Renegades’ 57.

Five batters were dismissed for a duck, with none of the batters reaching the double-digit mark. Brendan Doggett, batting at No.10, top-scored for the side with inside-edged four runs which was hugely cheered by the local crowd.
