Tribhuwan Army makes it four in a row

Kathmandu- Tribhuwan Army defeated R-8 Pokhara by three wickets to take their win tally to four in a row in the senior national cricket tournament 2015 at Engineering Ground, Pulchowk on Saturday.

Riding on Bidhan Shrestha’s 58 not out off 91 balls, Pokhara made 196/8 in allotted overs. Batting at No.4 Bidhan shared some important partnership with Rijan Prajoo (19 runs) and Sanjosh Bhattarai (30 runs) to guide his team to a respectable total.

Avinash Karn, Rajesh Pulami and Bikram Sov shared 2 wickets each between them for Army. In reply, former national opener Mahesh Chettri’s 70 runs proved match winning for Army. Opening the batting for Army, he blasted 11 fours in his 121 balls innings and shared some significant partnerships with Rahul BK (33 runs) and rajesh Pulami 26 not out.

Karan KC bowled with fierce pace and took two wickets for Pokhara but couldn’t secure a win for his team. Nischal Pandey also took two wickets but he conceded 61 runs in his quota of 10 overs while Karan conceded just 26 runs in his eight overs.
