Kathmandu - On a day dominated by disciplined red-ball cricket, Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC) opener Trit Raj Das carved his name into the history books, becoming the third centurion of the ongoing Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup and only the fourth overall in the tournament's history.

Das's masterful 102 (159 balls) propelled Army to a formidable 252 for 9 before they announced declaration, putting them in the driver's seat against departmental rivals Nepal APF Club at Mulpani.

Entering the crease under early morning pressure, Das displayed a masterclass in temperament.
