Aarya, Baudhi Mai and Himalaya register victory in the second day

Janakpur, December 18:
Aarya International (Red), Baudhi Mai Youth Club, Himalaya Youth Club ‘A’, Kanarpatti Cricket Club, Ronish Youth Club, Chand Youth Cricket Club and Siddhartha Sishu Sadan registered victory in the second day of Janakpur Super Six Cricket Tournament.

In the first match, Aarya International(Red) defeated Youth 11 ‘B’ by 4 wickets. Batting first, Youth 11 made a total of 17 runs losing all wickets in allocated 5 overs. Chasing the target of 18 runs, Aarya chased the target in 2.2 overs. Roshan Thakur was adjudged as the man of the match for wickets and runs.

In the second match played, Baudhi Mai Youth Club outplayed Holycross Cricket Team by 4 wickets. Holycross made a total of 31 runs losing all wickets in 5 overs. Following the target, Baudhi Mai chased in 3.5 overs in lost of a wicket. Rahul Thakuri from Baudhi Mai was the man of the match for 2 wickets and 14 runs.

In the third match, Himalaya Youth Club ‘A’ defeated Youth 11 ‘A’ by 4 wickets. Winning the toss and opting to bat, Youth 11 made a good total of 42 runs in 5 overs with losing all wickets. But the match was turned to the Himalaya’s side in the 4.3rd over as Pappu, man of the match grabbed 2 wickets and made 15 runs not out for winning side.

In the other matches of the day, Kanarpatti Cricket Club(66/1, 5.0 ovs) defeated Saraswoti Youth Club ‘A'(39/4, 5.0 ovs) by 27 runs, Ronish Youth Club(14/2, 1.3 ovs) defeated R-11(13/5, 2.4 ovs) by 3 wickets, Chand Youth Cricket Team(37/3, 5.0 ovs) defeated Tejpunj Cricket Club(36/3, 5.0 ovs) by a run in a nailbiting match.

In the last match of the day, Siddhartha Sishu Sadan(57/4, 5.0 ovs) defeated Islamic Welfare(56/4, 5.0 ovs) by a wicket.

Total of 7 matches will be played the next day, informed the organisers of the event.
