Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Nepal will play the opener against the host United Arab Emirates(UAE) in the Asian Cricket Council Trophy Elite that is scheduled to be held from October 1 to 13.
According to the fixtures released, Nepal will face UAE on 3rd October at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Nepal will play Kuwait on 6th at Al Dhaid Cricket Village, Sharjah before taking on Saudia Arabia on 7th at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Nepal will play the last match of the group stage against Hong Kong on 9th at ICC Global Cricket Academy 1, Dubai.
The semi finals and play off matches will be played on 10th while the finals will be played on 12th.
Nepal had been placed in group B alongside Hong Kong, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and host United Arab Emirates while the group A comprises of the defending champion Afghanistan, Malaysia, Oman, Bhutan and Maldives.
Nepal had lost to Afghanistan in previous edition by 95 runs in the finals.
