Agni Air lifts corporate league title

Agni air registered a 7 wickets victory over Yeti Airlines to clinch the title of the first Wai Wai corporate premier league organized by Shangrila Cricket Academy at Tribhuwan University ground, Kirtipur here today.

Winning the toss, Yeti Air decided to bat first but they could end up only with 103 runs with loss of 9 wickets in the 20 overs game.Ravi Sharma contributed 25 runs for Yeti while Narendra KC and Diwas Prajapati contributed 15 and 19 runs respectively. Saurabh KC took 3 wickets for Agni giving just 14 runs. Similarly, Gaurav Jain and Abinash Giri had respectively 2 and 1 wickets named in their account.

With excellent innings of Gaurav jain of 61 runs Agni reached the target of 104 runs in just 17.4 overs with loss of 3 wickets. Prajwol Shrestha and Nazir Sheikh contributed 11 and 12 runs respectively for Agni. Mohammad Rafi of Yeti was able to take 2 wickets of Agni while Prafulla Baidya had only wicket in his account.

For his excellent innings Gaurav Jain was declared as the player of finals and was gifed by Reebok. Ravi Sharma of Yeti Airlines was awarded as the best batsman while Saroj Maharjan of Max Media was the best bowler of the tournament. Player of the finals Gaurav Jain was also declared as the player of the series.

Gaurav Jain of Agni air for his 212 runs in the tournament took the orange cap. On the other hand, Saurav KC of the same team snatched the purple cap with 8 wickets throughout the tournament. There was no cash prize in the tournament.
