Array International and Chand Youth Club in the finals

JANAKPUR, December 23:

Array International and Chand Youth Club made it to the finals of the ongoing Janakpur Super Six Cricket Tournament on Friday.

In the first semi final match, Array International defeated Jaya Ma Laxmi Youth Club by  48 runs. Batting first, Aarya International made a big total of 77/4 after playing the allocated 5 overs. On chasing the target, Jaya Ma Laxmi managed to make only 29 runs. Anil Mandal(From Array International), the opening batsman of the current National Cricket Team was adjudged as player of the match for his 35 runs off 10 balls.

In the second semi final match, Chand Youth Club defeated Ronish  Youth Club by 10 runs. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Chand made a moderate total of 66 runs in lost of 5 wickets in allocated 5 overs. In reply, Ronish was restricted to 56 runs. Abhinandan was adjudged as the man of the match for his outstanding performance of 26 runs and 2 wickets.

Earlier in the day, in a quarter final match played, Jaya Ma Laxmi defeated Jaya Ma Bhagwati Youth Club by 7 runs.

The final match between Array International and Chand Youth Club will be played tomorrow in JCF Cricket Ground, Janakpur at 11 AM. Council Of Medical Students Nepal will present a drama “JEEVAN DAAN”,an antinarcotic drama by Reflection Theatre in the final day, informed the organisers.
