Australia grants Nepal Cricket with AUD 200,000

Melbourne – Australian Government announced a new Asian Sport Development Partnerships (ASP) program to expand Australian’s sport for development cooperation into Asia in 2015-2017.

The federal government has announced it will develop sporting ties with various Asian countries through a new program that includes Cricket, badminton, football, hockey etc.

Cricket Australia plans to deliver Asian cricket partnerships programs to support health, gender, equality and organisational linkages in Nepal, Afghanistan and China with a grant of AUD 200,000.

Similarly, Badminton Australia and Netball Australia will support Nepal with AUD 200,000 each respectively.

Netball Australia will increase sport participation levels among girls and women by contributing to health and leadership outcomes in India, Nepal, Timor-Leste and Sri Lanka.
