Baluwatar into semifinal

KATHMANDU: Baluwatar Cricket Club on Thursday has fixed semifinal place in the ongoing Wai Wai Women´s Regional Selection T-20 Cricket Tournament. Baluwatar beat Tribhuvan School by eight wickets in the match played at Sainik School Ground, Bhaktapur. Winning the toss Tribhuvan opted to bat first and managed to score 62 runs losing five wickets in the 20-over match. Rabina Bhandari was the highest scorer with 22 runs.

Baluwatar reached the modest target in 10.3 overs losing two wickets. Arati Bidari scored 25 runs for the winning team. In another match, Rajan Memorial Defeated Trijyoti by 74 runs. Jenny Singh Thapa´s unbeaten 40 runs helped Rajan score 138 runs losing two wickets in the 15 overs match. The match was reduced to 15 overs due to technical reasons.

Chasing the huge target, Trijyoti managed to score only 64 runs losing five wickets. Sushma Gurung of Rajan grabbed three wickets in her three over spell conceding seven runs.
