Bhuwan Karki gets a chance for IPL training

Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Nepali Under-19 Spinner Bhuwan Karki is set to travel to India for a month training with Indian Premiere League (IPL) team – Rajasthan Royals.

According to the National Daily – Nagarik, Pubudu Dassanayake, the Nepali Cricket Coach made an arrangement for his training with the IPL team for this Season.

The training will be held from March 22 in Jaipur and he is likely to attend from second to third week with the team. The senior team members will be busy for the preparation of World Cricket League Division three to be held in Bermuda (April 28 – May 5 2013) therefore, Coach recommended his name.

“Due to my personal relation with Monty Desai, the Rajasthan Coach, Bhuwan got this chance to get some exposure with International players. But he will be participating in the training session only”, Coach further added. Dassanayake has a good relation with Desai since they were the part of the Canandian team as the Coach and Consultant Coach.

As per the rule, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t allow any Nepali players to play for the IPL team.

Dhangadi Boy is excited about this opportunity and is ready for the upcoming task. Meanwhile, Desai called Shakti Gauchan, the bowling allrounder from Nepali National team last year for a trial & the training with the same franchise under the reference of Pubudu Dassanayake.

Rajasthan Royals is an Indian Premier League franchise based in the city of the Jaipur. It is currently captained by former Indian captain Rahul Dravid and owned by Bollywood Acreess – Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra & Lachlan Murdoch.
