Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Two team from the organizers BPKIHS green and red made it to the finals of the cricketing event of Synapse 2012, winning their semi final match played yesterday at BPKIHS Cricket Ground In the first semi final BPKIHS Red defeated IOM by 11 runs. batting first BPKIHS posted 91 runs batting first in 12 overs. Bikash Mandal made 21 of 11 balls while Lalit Bohora contributed 20 0f 13 balls. Deepesh, Prabesh and Sagar picked 2 wickets each for IOM. In reply IOM could only get 80 runs in the 12 allocated overs losing 4 wickets. Sagar made 24 runs for IOM while Pradeep made 19. Bikash mandal was declared tha Player of the match.
In the other semi final match BPKIHJS green defeated Manipal College of Medical Sciences by 6 runs in an extremely competitive game batting first BPKIHS posted 74 runs losing 7 wickets in 12 overs. Chatura Wickramssinge from Manipal picked up 3 wickets. Amit Mishra got 2 wickets in his two overs, Rajiv Mishra top scored with a steady 21 runs in 25 balls BPKIHS bowlers restricted Manipal for 68 runs. Chatura made 24 runs for Manipal, but it was the top scorer in BPKIHS inning s Rajiv who won the match for BPKIHS picking up 3 wickets. Chandra picked up 3 wickets as well.
