Cricnepal/Kathmandu: BPKIHS(Green) and KUSMS have won their first matches of SYNAPSE-2012, played today at BPKIHS ground, Dharan.
In the first match, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) defeated Universal College of Medical Sciences(UCMS) by 35 runs. Batting first KUSMS riding on player of the match Ankit Poudel’s 50 of 20 balls made 121 runs in the allocated 10 overs. Shubash contributed with 30. Shankar picked up two wickets for UCMS. Chasing 122 UCMS could only reach 86 runs. Md. Ali topscored for UCMS with 21 n.o. in 13 balls. Shubash picked up 2 important wickets for KUSMS.
In the second match played today B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS-Green) thrashed Nepal Medical College(NMC) by 91 runs. batting first BPKIHS made a massive 145 runs losing only one wicket. Player of the match Shubash Chandra making 56 n.o runs of just 26 balls. Ravi Srivastav made a handy 43 runs of 30 balls before he got out to Rahul Pandey. Chasing an impossible target NMC were restriced for 52 runs in 10 overs. Roshan Yadav, Santosh Nepal and Rajiv Nepal each picked up a wicket for BPKIHS. Santosh Bajgain top scored for NMC with 13 n.o. of 26 balls before getting retired hurt.
