Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) on Wednesday finalized the squad for the upcoming ACC Women’s Championship that is scheduled to be held in Thailand from January 21 to 31.
CAN earlier had announced the 18 member preliminary squad. Nepal team will be led by Rubina Chhetri Belbase. Other players selected are Sita Rana Magar, Karuna Bhandari, Sarita Magar, Roshani Bohara, Shilu Rijal, Indu Berma, Trishna Singh, Nary Thapa, Shobha Ale Magar, Mamata Thapa, Sonu Khadha, Madhu Thapa and Neera Rajopadhyay.
Rashi Sharma Chaulagain, Rekha Rawal, Sangeeta Gauchan and Saraswoti Chaudhary have been placed as reserves.
Nepal is pitted in Group A of the tournament alongside Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bhutan, UAE and Afghanistan. The winner of the tournament will progress to Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier to be held in Ireland in August.
