Kathmandu – Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will be holding its first-ever general assembly and the election on 18th December this year.
On a Press Release published today by CAN, election will be held as per the direction of Nepal Sports Council (NSC)’s on October 24.
NSC re-shuffled the previous committee under the leadership of Binay Raj Pandey as it couldn’t conduct elections for years and players were criticizing. After CAN dissolvement, Tanka Angbuhang was appointed as the President of CAN also expressed commitment to hold the election within two months of its formation.
Similarly, CAN has decided to establish “Cricket Association of Nepal Cricketers Welfare Fund” for uplifting Player’s current status.
