CAN reveals 22 man squad for U19 World Cup close camp

Kathmandu- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has revealed 22 man squad for close camp for the preparation for the ICC U19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh.

Sandeep Lamichhane, Nandan Yadav, Ishant Pandey, Avinash Bohara,  Sagar Bhandari and Avinash Karn are the new names in the squad apart from others who represented the team team in the ICC U19 qualifiers. Pandey was the third highest run scorer in the super league with 124 runs and Karn fifth with 105 runs. Similarly, medium pacer Lamichhance got 12 wickets to his name in four matches with best figures of  6 for 27.

The squad has been selected on the basis of performance in the U19 Super League Tournament 2072 organised by CAN between three team; U19 Team Green, Blue and Red after CAN failed to organize regional selection tournament. All the teams played four matches each, with the Red team winning three, Blue winning two and Green winning one match.

22 man squad-   Raju Rijal, Aarif Sheikh, Rajbir Singh, Dipendra Airee, Saurabh Khanal, Sushil Kandel, Prem Tamang, Sunil Dhamala, Sandeep Sunar,  Dipesh Shrestha, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Shankar Rana, Kushal Bhurtel, Himanshu Dutta, Yogendra Karki, Sandeep Lamichhane, Irshad Ahamad, Nandan Yadav, Ishant Pandey, Avinash Bohara, Sagar Bhandari and Avinash Karn.
