Kathmandu – Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) has selected a 18-man squad for the upcoming ACC U-16 Premier cricket tournament to be held in Malaysia from August 14-20.
The team is being coached by former National Captain Raju Basnet with Sumit Maharjan leading the team. Other players include Aashif Sheikh, Pranit Thapa, Sushant Singh Thapa, Pawan Sharraf, Jitendra Singh Thakuri, Rabindra Shahi, Ravi Kumar Shah, Rabi Chand, Ashish Pokhrel, Vijay Chowdhary, Anil Kharel, Suman Ghimire, Rabin SIngh, Aman Panthi, Rijan Dhakal, RoshanAdhikari & Suraj Bohora.
Nepal once considered as a strong team in age group cricket are slowly losing their plot. This will be a chance for Nepal to regain their lost glory. In the last ACC U-16 Championship, Nepal lost to Malaysia in the final.
