CAN sets spectator limits in Mulpani and urges home-viewing

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has released a statement about the number of spectators allowed at Mulpani Cricket Ground for the upcoming Nepal vs UAE match.

Hosts Nepal and UAE will be fighting in the semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. The winner of the match will confirm its position in the upcoming T20 World Cup 224 in the USA and West Indies.

The Nepal-UAE match will be played at Mulpani Cricket Ground after Nepal finished second in Group A. Meanwhile, Group A’s leader Oman will play against Bahrain at TU Cricket Ground.

CAN has officially announced that only 3500 tickets will be sold, exclusively through online channels, and there will be no ticket booth available outside the ground. Furthermore, VIP passes will not be accessible for the match. Importantly, CAN has advised fans to opt for watching the match from home.

The crucial match starts at 11:00 AM NST at Mulpani Cricket Ground. This decision by CAN is aimed at addressing the crowd management difficulties arising from the limited space available.

A win will ensure Nepal’s place at the T20 World Cup 2024. In 2022, UAE dashed Nepal’s hopes by securing a victory in the semifinal of the Global Qualifier.
