Civil Bank lift Ncell Corporate Beach Cricket title

KURINTAR
Civil Bank claimed the Ncell Corporate Beach Cricket Tournament title defeating Nepal SBI Bank Limited by four wickets on Saturday.

Electing to bat first, SBI scored 78-5 in five overs before Civil made 81-1 in 3.5 overs. Robert Shrestha top scored for SBI with 25, while Min Bahadur Gurung made 23. Raj Shrestha, Prasiddha Aryal and Binu Shrestha claimed one wicket apiece for Civil. In reply, Bhola Bista scored an unbeaten 31, Raj Shrestha contributed 26 and Prasiddha remained unbeaten on 16 for Civil.

Earlier, Civil had defeated KIST Bank by 81 runs and SBI had dispatched Kumari Bank by 24 runs in the semi-finals. Raj Shrestha of the winning side was declared the man-of-the-series.

Ncell Beach Cricket 2011 was held from February 25, 2011 to March 5, 2011 in association with Shangri-La Cricket Academy. It aimed at promoting the domestic tourism concept incorporating NTY 2011.
