Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Shangrila Cricket Academy is organising the first Wai Wai Corporate Premier League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament from May 1 at the Tribhuvan University Stadium.
In a 9 days event, a total of 10 teams which include Everest Challengers, Global Bank, You We Rangers, Max Media, Nepal Telecom, Private Public Partner, Yeti Airline, Chaudhary Group, Agni Air and UNICEF will participate.
The teams are divided into three groups and top two teams from Group A and one each from B and C will qualify for the semi-finals.
The main purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the general public regarding the importance of hand washing with soap,” said Birendra Bikram Shah, Director of Shangrila Cricket Academy.
On Wednesday’s matches, Everest Challengers will take on Global Bank while Chaudhary Group will face Agni Air.
