Kathmandu – Nepalese Cricket has overtopped in the nomination of the Pulsar Sports Award 2070 published on Wednesday by Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF) in Kathmandu.
National team Captain Paras Khadka along with off spinner Basant Regmi and Wicketkeeper Batsman Subash Khakurel are nominated in the Player of the Year (Male) category. Similarly, Khadka is nominated in the Popular Player of the Year.
Right Arm Fast bowler Sompal Kami and Left Arm Bowler Avinash Karn are nominated for the Youth Player of the year while Sita Rana Magar has been nominated for the female player of the year.
Pubudu Dassanayake, the head coach of Nepalese Cricket team has been nominated for Coach of the year category. Middle order Batsman – Sharad Vesawkar has already been declared the winner of the Special Award.
The winner will be announced amid an award ceremony to be held in Kathmandu on Monday. The winner of Male, Female and the popular player of the year will be awarded with a Pulsar Motorcycle while the other category winners will be awarded Rs.50,000 each along with trophy, certificates and gift hampers.
SMS Voting and Facebook Likes will be the counted for the voting of Popular Player of the year.
