Nepalgunj: National Women Cricket team skipper Nary Thapa won the NSJF Pulsar Mid-western Sports Award organized by Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF) Banke branch on Tuesday.
Nary, who had also claimed the award last year, won the female player of the year honor. She led Nepal to the ACC U-19 Women’s Cricket trophy in Singapore last year. Her performance in that tournament helped her to win the National Award. She was also declared the best-bats-woman of the tournament. Nary was also declared the women-of-the-series and best bowler in the National tournament.
Meanwhile, Cricketer Pradeep Airee won the Far-western Special award.
