CWCL2: Scotland announce 15-men squad for upcoming Nepal tour

Cricket Scotland on Thursday announced its 15-men squad for the upcoming tour to Nepal for the One-Day Tri-series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League 2.

Scotland will play their final Cricket World Cup League 2 matches for the 2019-2022 cycle in Nepal. Currently, Scotland Men’s team are at the top of the table with 46 points, including 22 wins, and 8 losses from 32 matches. Meanwhile, they have secured their place at the World Cup qualifier in Zimbabwe to be played in June and July.

Scotland will play the hosts and Namibia across four ODIs. Namibia are the first opponent on February 15, followed by Nepal on February 17, Namibia on February 20 and finally Nepal on February 21.

Richie Berrington will lead the side alongside two new faces in the squad. Liam Naylor, a 21-year-old, who has been picked from the Performance Academy is part of the squad. Likewise, All-rounder Jack Jarvis, who is also part of the same academy will be heading to Nepal as a development player.

Namibia are currently third on the points table with 37 points from 30 matches while Nepal is currently in the sixth position with 18 points from 24 matches.
