DCA off To Sri Lanka

DCA/Cricnepal-Under 17 Team of Dhangadi Cricket Academy has set off on a historic tour to Sri Lanka making DCA the first Nepalese Team (other than the National Squad) to make a cricketing tour to the test playing Island Nation.
“Pubudu Dassanayeke helped DCA in arranging the tour”infomed founding president of DCA Subash Shahi.”Match exposure and domestic cricket structure are two major problems of Nepali Cricket. DCA since its establishment has been particulary focussed on providing the players of the academy with sufficient match exposure” expressed Shahi during the farewell ceremony. DCA had recently toured Lukhnow for practice matches.

DCA has named a professional looking team for the tour. The 24 membered Team that is travelling to Sri Lanka has 17 players along with Coach Arjun Khadka. The teamis travelling with two reporters-Birat Jung Rayamajhi and Siddhajung Upadhaya.Unlike CAN most Cricket Associations of Associate Countries have reporters appointed to cover the cricket news. This would be the first time a Nepali Team travels along with a team of reporters.

President of DCA-Subash Sahi and Director of DCA Mahesh Shahi are also in the team. Team manager Gahendra Shahi and Sponser Deepak Chhetri complete the remaining tws spots.
The team will leave for Sri Lanka via India on 21st October and will feature in 9 matches with different U-17 Teams of Sri Lanka.

DCA in just one year has established itself as one of the most successful Cricket Academies of Nepal. It successfully organised Dhangadi Cricket League in just months of its establishment and has been running ambitious programs such as personality development and game psychology and science for its trainees along with regular Cricket coaching.

DCA is only cricket academy that has affiliation of National Cricket Academy and runs projects of  NCA in far west.
