Delhi Blues Cricket Academy To Visit Nepal

Delhi Blues Cricket Academy under-19 team will visit Kathmandu on 13th of October to play five friendly one Day games with Great Himalaya Cricket Academy, Kathmandu. Matches will be held at Engineering Ground, Pulchowk from 14th to 18th of October. The event will be named as Indo-Nepal U-19 friendly series.

Established in 1956 the Club has to its credit iconic names like Kirti Azad, Maninder Singh, Ajay Jadeja, Gursharan Singh, Rahul Sanghvi, Gagan Khoda, Murli Kartik, Surinder Khanna, Sunil Walson, Vivek Razdan, Nikhil Chopra and many more who have in challenging times romped through historic wins for the country.

Delhi Blues Cricket Academy is under the Dronacharya Cricket Foundation which is run by Gurucharan Singh. Mr. Gurcharan, Chief Coach and the founding President, hardly needs an introduction within Indian cricketing fraternity. Under his tutelage and unflinching commitment for the sport, the Delhi Blues Cricket Club, has been doing a service par excellence for past 55 years.

A recipient of The Dronacharya Award, highest Award given to a coach by President of India for outstanding and meritorious work on a consistent basis and enabled sports persons to excel in International events; and thus bring glory to the country. Gurcharan Singh has been a Dronacharya of Cricket in true sense as well.

14 members squad will be accompanied by Manager Rakesh Rai and Coach Mr. Narinder Kumar, former Ranji Player. Team will consist of Paras Jain and Ankit Negi who are playing for Delhi under-16 side. Great Himalaya Cricket Academy side will be captained by National U-19 level Batsman Prakash Bista, coached by Mr. Samson Jung Thapa, national level coach and team Manager will be Mr. Tejendra Rajbhandari.
