Dhangadi Cricket Academy set up in Dhandagi

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Kailali was always a cricket loving District and the passion for the game will get a huge boost with Dhangadi Cricket Academy (DCA) established. All the players from the District will be surely benefited from the establishment.

A million rupee investment was into building the academy by Dhirendra Saud, member of central Committee of CAN, businessman Mahesh Shah and Shubash Prahi, director of Sudur Pachimanchal Academy (SPA), better known as the organizer of the Sudur Pachimanchal Cup, the cricketing event with utmost cash prize in Nepal.

Though cricket is absolute obsession in the country investment in the cricketing infrastructures are quite rare and DCA comes as one of those rare good steps for promoting cricket in Nepal

The Academy was inaugurated by four internationals form Team Nepal, Bhuwan Karki, Pradip Airee, Naresh Budayer and Sinu Khadka in a function held today.

Director of the Dhangadi Academy Mr. Shubash Sahi, spoke on the occasion and expressed that the academy would really boost cricket in the region. All the speakers in the function expressed how the academy would be helpful in shaping the future cricketers of Nepal.

Mahesh Shah one of the owners of the Academy pointed out that the Academy was fully furnished with modern facilities for the Cricketers and would help them groom better.

Dhangadi Cricket Academy is a project with simple aim “Promote Cricket at Grass root level in the region “50 players are already training in the just set up academy. Dhangadi lacked a proper training site for the players with DCA established that void is filled.
