Dhangadi Sports Club and Kailali play tie

Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Dhangadi Sports Club and Kailali Multiple Cricket Club played a tie in the ongoing Dhangadi Cricket League in Dhangadi on Tuesday.

Losing the toss, Dhangadi Sports Club went to bat first and scored 98 runs losing all wickets in 23.1 overs. Min Rawal top scored with 36 runs. For Kailali; Suresh Dhami took four wickets while Sanjay Pant took three.

Chasing the target of 99 runs, Kailali lost all wickets in 22 overs. With a last wicket remaining, Kailali was 13 runs short off the target but Sanjay Pant hit two sixes and a four and brough the match to tie. Required 1 run to win, Milan Chand failed to complete his run. Prakas Bhatta scored 23 runs for Kailali while Pant also added 17. Saurav Bam took four wickets for Dhangadi while Dipak Rai and Basu Giri took two wickets each.

The winner of the tournament will win a cash prize of Rs. 25000 along with trophy while the runner up will bag Rs. 10000 and trophy.

The fourth match of the league will be played on friday. Tikapur Cricket Club will face Shrijansil Youth Club.
