Dipendra Singh Airee became only the second Nepali batter to score two ODI centuries after reaching 100 against the United Arab Emirates in Cricket World Cup League 2 at TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Rohit Paudel is the only other Nepal batter with two ODI hundreds. Airee had brought up his first ODI century in March 2022, when he made 105 against Papua New Guinea at the same venue.
His latest hundred came in another important home international. Airee made exactly 100 from 94 balls, striking 13 fours and a six, as Nepal posted 289 for 7 against the UAE.
The innings also underlined his consistency in the ongoing League 2 run. In Nepal's previous two matches, Airee had already made half-centuries against both the UAE and Oman. He has now followed those knocks with a second ODI hundred at a key stage of the home tri-series.
Airee's innings gained added value through the partnership that shaped the final push. He and Gulshan Jha added 102 runs for the sixth wicket in just 78 balls, turning Nepal's innings from a solid total into a far more competitive one. Both batters were dismissed off the last two balls of the innings, with Gulshan making a brisk 44 off 38.
At one stage, Nepal had been under some pressure after losing wickets in the top order. But Airee absorbed that phase, rebuilt through the middle overs and then accelerated in the final stretch. His hundred came not just as a milestone, but as the innings that defined Nepal's total.

Nepal later went on to beat the UAE by six runs via DLS, making Airee's knock both a personal landmark and the central contribution in another high-pressure win.
