Dipendra Singh Airee scripts third consecutive win for Nepal Police Club

Dipendra Singh Airee bagged his second Player of the match award in the ongoing PM Cup to hand Nepal Police Club (NPC) their third win in a row. Airee’s all-round performance helped NPC beat Lumbini Province by six wickets.

Chasing 189, Openers Sunil Dhamala (36) and Kushal Bhurtel (32) shared 55 runs stand for the first wicket. Amit Shrestha and Aarif Sheikh also scored 28 and 35 runs respectively, before Dilip Nath finished things in 37.1 overs with a boundary. Skipper Airee remained unbeaten for 43 runs. Lumbini’s Anil Kharel pocketed a couple of wickets each.

Earlier, Opting to bat first at TU Cricket Ground, Lumbini were wrapped up for 188 in 44.2 overs. Skipper Dev Khanal, who scored 77* in the previous match, notched up 74 with seven fours and two sixes. Bishal Bikram KC and Prajjwol Thapa added 30 and 23 runs for their side. Dipendra Singh Airee was the pick of a bowler for NPC grabbing four wickets. Karan KC and Sagar Dhakal also bagged a pair of wickets each.

Dipendra Singh Airee is having a tournament to remember. Starting the tourney with a century (108) and three wickets against Bagmati, He grabbed two wickets and scored an unbeaten 14 against Province 1 in the second match.
