Far West United becomes the first team to be knocked out of Nepal T20 League

Far West United becomes the first team to be knocked out of the inaugural edition of Nepal T20 League. They were defeated by Biratnagar Super Kings in the must win match. They fell three runs short despite an impressive half century from Hasmatulla Shahidi.

Apart from Skipper Shahidi and Umair Ali no other batter could contribute as they faced a narrow loss. Shahidi made 46-ball 58 whereas Ali smacked 12-ball 23.

Raj Nannan picked up three wickets for Biratnagar. Surya Tamang once again doing superb job grabbed a couple of wickets.

Earlier, Biratnagar posted an average total of 147 after opting to bat first. Hussain Talat scored an amazing half-century from 29 balls.Bibek Yadav made 35 while Arjun Saud contributed sluggish 22.

Umair Ali picked up a coupe of wickets for Far West. Durgsh Gupta and Karan Kc also pocketed one each.

With only two victory from nine matches, Far West are at the bottom of the table having just four points. Lumbini and Janakpur have already booked their spot in the play off. One among Biratnagar, Kathamndu, and Pokhara will book a seat in the play off now.
