Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Galaxy School and Brihaspati School registered wins in their respective group matches of the 6th Chief of Army Staff Cricket Tournament played today at Army School Ground, Bhaktapur.
EPS vs. Galaxy (Pool A)
In the first match Galaxy School thrashed EPS by wickets, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by man of the match and member of National U-16 cricket side, Akash Bista. Akash picked up three wickets giving away only eight runs as EPS collapsed for 70 runs. Kulbhusan Shah and Parmershowar Patel scored 18 and 17 runs respectively for EPS.Galaxy chased down the total with 12.1 overs to spare losing only one wicket. nabin Budathoki scored 20 n.o. of 21 balls for the winning side.
Brihaspati vs. Greenland (Pool B)
In the second match Brihaspathi Vidhyasadan defeated Greenland Children High School in a closely fought battle by 27 runs. Batting first Brihaspathi posted a massive 158 runs losing five wickets, thanks to a half century by Pratik Kant-he made 57 runs of 47 balls which included 9 fours. Pratik raj Bhandari made a quick fire 35 of 25 balls. Hiru Himal bagged two wickets giving away only 18 runs in his four overs. Defendig 158 Player of the match Prajjwal Gurung of Brihaspati picked of five wickets as Greenland folded for 131 runs. Hiru Himal made a fighting 24 for the losing side.
