Galaxy, New Horizon and Sainik enter semi final

Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Galaxy Public School entered into the semi final of Wai Wai Indo Nepal U-16 Cricket Tournament after defeating Tribhuwan Adarsha, Pharping on Thursday at Pulchowk Engineering Ground. Likewise, New Horizon Bhairahawa, SBV Kolkata and Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya reached to the semi final finishing winner of the respective groups.

Batting first, Galaxy put up 141 for 7 in 20 overs. Aman Jain top scored with 36 runs while Pratik Raj Bhandari, Aakash Bista and Ayush Hamal contributed 32, 22 and 13 runs respectively. Saroj Basnet, Sarad Basnet and Dipesh Poudel claimed wicket each for Tribhuvan Adarsha.

In reply, Galaxy bowlers put a decent bowling attack as Tribhuvan Adarsha were restricted for just 41 runs in 9.5 overs. Nabin Shrestha scored 13 runs being the only batsman to score a double digit figure. Man of the match Aakash Bista picked up three wickets while Pratik Raj Bhandari and Bamdev Jagari claimed two wickets each. Smith Khadka grab a wicket for Galaxy Public.

While, Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya 224/4 beat TCA Kerala 92/10 by 132 runs. Kiran Shrestha scored a high 54 runs for Sainik while Abhishek Poudel and Niroj Shrestha put 43 and 41 runs respecpectively. Rohan Paul and Riyas grabbed a wicket each.

In reply, Mobin Mohan scored 33 runs while none other did good. Gunjan Yadav picked up three wickets, Suman Kunwar grabbed two wickets while Arjun Bhushar and Prashant Shrestha took wicket apiece for Sainik.

Meanwhile, Glacier School beat Rajan Memorial International School by 7 wickets.

First semi final match will take place on Friday between Kolkata Satya Bharati and New Horizon School. While the second semi final and final will be played on Saturday.
