Gandaki Province and Nepal Police Club victorious on the second day of the PM Cup

Gandaki Province and Nepal Police Club grabbed a victory on the second day of the Prime Minister Cup national one-day tournament. Gandaki defeated Sudurpaschim at TU Cricket Ground, whereas, Police thrashed Province number 1 at Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Lalit Rajbanshi’s fifer helped Police wrap up Province 1 for just 102 in 35.1 overs. Sagar Dhakal and Dipendra Singh Airee also grabbed a couple of wickets each. Niraj Mukhiya topped the scorecard with 29 runs while Ankit Subedi scored 24. Openers shared 56 runs for the first wicket, however, the team saw a big collapse afterwards.

Kushal Bhurtel scored an aggressive 42 as Police chased the total in 14 overs losing three wickets. Shankar Rana and Rashid Khan contributed 29 and 16 runs respectively. This is Police’s second consecutive win.

Gandaki Province defeated Sudurpaschim by 69 runs at TU Cricket Ground. Arjun Kumal’s 63 inspired Gandaki to post 208/8 in the allotted 50 overs. Kailash Ayer, Sher Malla, and Narayan Joshi grabbed a couple of wickets each for Sudurpaschim.

Sudurpaschim in reply were bowled out for mere 139 runs in 32.1 overs. Milan Bohara scored 51 runs, while three batters were sent back for a duck. Skipper Bipin Khatri pocketed four wickets for Gandaki. Subash Bhandari and Avishek Basnet also grabbed a couple of wickets each.
