Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Pawan Ghimire, chairman of Nepal Cricket Association of Blind has been unanimously elected as the Asian Development Director for World Blind Cricket Council “WBCC” for the second straight time, during the annual general meeting and convention of World Blind Cricket Council held at Mohan Pic hotel in Banglore , India
The Cricket Association of the blind Nepal (CABN) issued a press release on the occasion that read “Ghimire will work for another two years under Mr. Sayed Sultan Shah, the newly elected Chairman of World Blind Cricket Council who is also the Chairman of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council. ”
The good news for CABN and Nepal didn’t just end there as the next annual general meeting of WBCC in 2014 is set in Nepal.
Meanwhile everything is set for the first ever Blind Cricket World Cup to be held in Banglore India from 2nd December. Besides Nepal eight other teams including host India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka will battle it out for the much coveted trophy.
Team Nepal Making Headlines with Inclusion of Female Players
Team Nepal is making headlines all over international media with two female players included in the team for the Blind T20 World Cup.

Former Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranathunga will be present at the inaugural ceremony of the World Cup to be held at Kanteerava Stadium on December 1.
